A
word you’ll hear spoken frequently at WellSpring is “community.”
It’s really important to us. That’s why WellSpring offers
you so many different ways to find a place to belong. From our many
growth groups, Bible classes and workshops, to dinner clubs, mom’s
play groups and other activities – these small communities
allow you to connect with others in a way that is comfortable for
you, and to forge true friendships while discovering the heart of
God.
Many
people at WellSpring enjoy taking part in one of our growth groups.
These groups give individuals an opportunity to meet on a regular
basis with others who are eager to connect and learn together. We
have groups for men, women, couples, empty nesters, parents and
young adults.
What
do you do in a group?
Typically there are about six to ten people in a group. Our groups
usually meet in someone’s home or at the church. A group leader
often opens in prayer before the group begins their discussion.
Members of groups gather to study or discuss a particular topic,
whether it’s a book, a portion of the Bible or other subject.
Trained leaders facilitate all of our groups. Members of groups
offer support to one another as they help each other grow spiritually,
and often times close friendships develop.
How
long do people stay in a group?
Our greatest desire is to help you find a place where you can discover
the heart of God – a place that is comfortable and exciting
for you. So come and go as you desire! We invite you to explore
different groups and activities. New and repeated classes and groups
are usually offered each quarter.
Do
I have to know much about the Bible?
No! Many people who come to WellSpring do not know the Bible or
even own a Bible! Others find themselves at a crossroads of belief.
We realize that people in groups have a wide range of knowledge,
beliefs and questions, which is why our groups are so comfortable.
We want to help you discover the Bible at your own pace, and to
explore your spiritual journey in your own way.
