Community Garden
The Shared Garden at WellSpring Community Church, located on our church property, offers prepared garden plots to anyone in the community who would like to grow their own food. This is a “shared” garden because each gardener agrees to donate half of all produce harvested to the local food pantry (or other agency that serves the economically challenged in our community). WellSpring offers a convenient collection point during the harvest season.
The cost is $25 for a 4-foot by 10-foot plot and $20 for each additional plot (plus the donation of half of each gardener’s harvest).
Rain barrels are provided to assist with watering. Gardeners can choose what to plant and need to provide their own tools. Workshops are provided to assist with planning and preparing gardens.
